Marketing Video Production (RFP)

FIRST 5 Santa Clara County is developing a countywide advertising campaign to raise awareness and visibility of FIRST 5, our investments, and the impact we have on young children and families in Santa Clara County.

The campaign will highlight FIRST 5’s impact on families, caregivers, educators and partners throughout our various investments in areas including, but not limited to: early education, health and wellness, family strengthening and support.

As a key part of the campaign, FIRST 5 would like to develop 12 videos (each not to exceed two minutes in length) that highlight our impact in key areas – highlighting personal stories from individuals who have been impacted by FIRST 5 programming. Videos would also include brief program overviews and data/infographics as relevant.

The videos produced under this RFP would be used online through FIRST 5’s channels, YouTube, social media, and various online advertisements.

With input and guidance from FIRST 5, the selected applicant is expected to:

  • Storyboard video concepts
  • Script videos, including interview questions, and interview individuals selected by FIRST 5 on camera
  • Arrange and conduct video shoots at locations within Santa Clara County as determined by FIRST 5
  • Edit and finalize all videos including the addition of graphics, music, etc.

Applicants Notified of Selection – November 26, 2018All applicants will be notified of their status via email.
Appeal Process – November 27 – 29, 2018Applicants, who are not selected for the pre-qualified list and who wish to appeal the decision, have three working days from receipt of the email notifying applicants of the initial award recommendation to file an appeal in writing. The written appeal needs to document the reason for the appeal and must be sent via email to: and addressed to Brittany Satkoski, Communications Director. Grounds for appeal are limited to a violation of a FIRST 5 Santa Clara County procedure, law, rule, regulation, or practice regarding this RFP process. Appeals will not be accepted on any other grounds. Appeals will only be considered if received in the FIRST 5 Santa Clara County office by 5:00 p.m. on the third working day from the date of the email regarding the initial award recommendation. Decision on appeal is final.
