Description: The South West region encompasses 11 zip codes representing the town of Los Gatos, the unicorporated Los Gatos mountain area, and the cities of Monte Sereno, Saratoga, Cupertino, and a small portion of southwest San José. There are 7 school districts within the region: Cupertino Union, Montebello, Los Gatos Union, Loma Prieta Joint Union, Lakeside Joint Union, Saratoga Union, and Moreland. The region is comprised of approximately 177,000 residents of which over 6,200 are children through age 5. It is a diverse community representative of predominantly Caucasian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Asian Indian, and Latinos.
