FIRST 5 Santa Clara County has several free family resource centers in San Jose. These centers help aide families with children prenatal through age 5 by providing resources and services. El Observador Coverage on The San Jose Giants Mascot's visit to a FIRST 5 Family Resource Center:

El 6 de mayo, niños en San José conocieron a "Gigante", la mascota del equipo de béisbol, los "San Jose Giants". Durante una visita a un Centro de Recursos Familiares patrocinado por "FIRST 5 Santa Clara County", Gigante les enseñó a los niños cómo el béisbol es también una forma divertida de hacer ejercicios. Asimismo, Gigante compartió con los niños y sus familias tickets gratuitos para el próximo juego de los San Jose Giants.

On May 6, local San Jose children met Gigante, the San Jose Giants baseball team mascot, during his visit to a FIRST 5 Santa Clara County Family Resource Center. Gigante stopped by the center to teach the children how baseball is also a fun way to exercise. At the same time, Gigante shared with children and families free tickets to the next San Jose Giants game.
