Event Description

The East San Jose Reads! Annual Community Literacy Event is host by Grail Family Services in the Mayfair/East San Jose community which promotes early literacy development in children ages 0-9 and fosters parents and family engagement in literacy activities at home and in the community.

This event will include book making activities, a read aloud, singing time, parent-child activities, family reading time, and cultural arts presentations. This event will be infused with messages about the importance of reading with children starting at a very early age.

Attending families will receive free books to start their own personal libraries at home and a library card to the Rovert L. Severns Children's Library housed at Grail Family Services, Family Giving Tree School Backpack Give-Away for school age children.
