Potter the Otter Wants Your Kid to Drink Water

In the 31-page book, Potter repeats the campaign’s core message: Drink water for thirst / And you should know / Water is healthy / It helps you grow!
Along the way, Potter meets Toada (who drinks soda), Goose and Moose (who drink juice), three skunks (who drunk punch) and baby kangaroos (who yell “boo!”). He successfully convinces all of them to hop on his water bandwagon.
FIRST 5 Santa Clara County, a program to promote the health of children in their first five years, distributes the book. According to Dawn Bussey, spokeswoman for the program, there are already 100,000 copies of the book in circulation since its release in May. There are about 500,000 copies in the state.
